Werb’s Central -

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” Isaiah 54:2

As our church community has grown, we have been blessed with the opportunity to buy a new building just 80 metres away from our church building. This has provided a space for our youth to meet on Sunday morning and it is our vision to create a space where we can bring people together, build connections within our community and bridge the gaps in society.

As you can see from the photos - whilst quite recently it has been a Turkish restaurant, parts of this extensive building have been left to disrepair. We are now trying to generate funds to pay back a £250,000 loan which we have taken in order to begin the renovation work which will turn this building into a wonderful space to work out our vision. Currently we have committed to work on Phases 1, 2 and 3 with discussion still underway about the plans for future work.

We are very grateful to everyone who has so far made a donation to support this project. If you are able to please consider giving to our New Building Fund.

Phase 1 - Develop a multipurpose space for our Sunday morning youth ministry, refresh the toilets and install first fix heating and electrics throughout. (Downstairs in number 11 - Tudor fronted listed building)

Phase 2 - Refresh the restaurant area and install a servery area of number 12

Phase 3 - Level floors in the old flat upstairs in number 11, refit bathroom and redecorate for office space

Phase 4 - Remodel the entrance and rooms on the two upstairs floors of number 12 to provide safe staircase access to upstairs, and additional meeting rooms. This phase prepares for the installation of a lift to the higher levels.

Phase 5 - Conversion of an alleyway between number 11 and 12 to give access from the multipurpose youth space (phase 1) into the restaurant area (phase 2).

Phase 6 - Installation of the lift.

Phase 7 - Possible commercial kitchen
