WHAT TO EXPECT

As you arrive

We have a great team of volunteers at both our services who will offer you a warm welcome and point you in the direction of the facilities you need during your attendance. If you have any questions please ask them and if they can’t help they will know who to ask.

Our doors open 30 minutes prior to the service start time to enable you to get settled and chat to a few members of our congregation over refreshments.

DURING THE SERVICE

Our services our hosted by members of both our staff team and our congregation, their job is to guide you through the service and tell you what is happening.

There will be times of sung worship and prayer, bible readings and sermons. We are free to join in with whichever parts you feel comfortable with.

Which service should I attend?

The 10.30

This is our morning service which takes place at 10.30am every Sunday and is the perfect place for people of all ages to connect with us and find a home. We have programmes for children aged 2 – 15 run by our fully-trained kids and youth team or, alternatively, they are very welcome to stay with you for the duration of the service. More info on the buttons below.
Doors open from 10.00am to grab a coffee and pastry and get to know some of our congregation and team.

The 6.30

Our 6.30pm service in the evening is aimed at students and young adults (our Collective age group), although everyone is welcome! The service looks a bit different to the morning, going deeper into teaching, exploring a Christian worldview, and creating more space for worship and prayer. Doors open for refreshments at 6.00pm.

We also offer BSL interpretation at this service on the first Sunday of every month (excluding August and December).

Photography and Filming

We have a team of volunteers who help us to capture what is going on in our church for advertising and publicity purposes. You will see them walking around with a camera and a team lanyard. If you wish not to be included on photos them please let one of them know.

Our 10.30 service is broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook. Again if you want to avoid the camera please speak to someone on the production desk and try to avoid the stage area of the church during the service.

SAFEGUARDING

We take safeguarding very seriously at Werb’s and all our volunteers have complete the appropriate level of training for their role. Please take a look at our safeguarding page for full information about this.
