Love Christmas is back for 2026 and we can’t wait to bless our city with our Christmas Toy Shop and bags of kindness, all in partnership with Derby City Mission.
After the huge success of Love Christmas 2025, we can’t wait to see how God enables us to reach out to those in our neighbourhood who are struggling this year.
Love Christmas is a national campaign run by Re-vitalise Trust which aims to provide bags of kindness to those in need. Take a look at the video to see what difference you could make.
Pray
This year, we’re so excited to take part by partnering with Derby City Mission to run a Christmas Toy Shop alongside our Bags of Kindness. Our goal is to provide gifts for 600 children (aged 0–18) across Derby, giving parents the dignity and joy of choosing the perfect presents for their kids.
We would love for you to be part of this! Here are some ways to get involved:
Pray for the families visiting the toy shop—that they step into a warm and welcoming space and feel the love of Jesus through our church family.
Pray for the logistical details behind the scenes and for our volunteer team.
Give
We aim to provide significant, high-quality gifts (budgeted at around £25 per present). You can support in three ways:
Purchase a gift: Bring new, unwrapped presents to Werb’s on Sundays (Nov 8th, 15th, and 22nd) between 10am and 2pm.
Buy online: Order directly via our Amazon wish-list (check back soon for this!).
Donate financially: Make a donation to our normal church bank account using the reference ‘Love Christmas’, and we’ll buy gifts on your behalf.
Serve
We need volunteers to help prepare behind the scenes and serve at the toy shop. Roles include chatting with parents, helping them select gifts, and wrapping presents.
Sign up: Volunteer slots are now live. Please mark your availability, and we will confirm roles and schedules soon.
