What a term we’ve had, it’s been amazing!

Over the last few months we have been challenged in our services by Paul’s letter to the Philippians, we were carried through lent with our daily prayer devotional, we’ve had Alpha and Werbs groups and Sanctuary. We had the joy and privilege to have our baptism Sunday and hear incredible stories of lives transformed by Jesus. Preachmania(!) with 8 speakers over 2 services and finally a wonderful Easter celebration, only our second ever at Werbs.

Phew! A break was definitely needed. We hope lots of you got some rest over the bank holiday or like us, managed a bit of time away from the everyday.

And so, we’re back, hopefully raring to go as we enter our summer term. There’s so much going on and so much to look forward to...

‘This Is Us’ has just begun! This is our Werbs groups in one. Worship, teaching and ministry together on Thursday evenings in church looking at who we are and who we want to be. If like me you can’t make it, the teaching will be recorded and you can have a listen on our podcast.

Our new sermon series ‘Choices’ looking at the story of Joseph starts this Sunday.

Leadership conference 19 on Monday and Tuesday. So looking forward to seeing lots of you there!

Alpha starts next Wednesday!

And of course, FOCUS. I’m not a camper (in fact, I pretty much hate camping) BUT I love Focus - there are 80 signed up from Werbs so far which is AMAZING! It’s still not too late to book.

Let’s keep on praying and let’s keep on being expectant that God will do wonderful things as we build an authentic community that is Christ centred that plays our part in transforming Derby and beyond.
