In 2016, Phil, Anna and their family were invited by Bishop Alastair to gather a team of people and plant a church at St Werburgh’s in Derby.
St Werburgh’s is an iconic building and was sold off as a church about 30 years ago, it has been an indoor market and Chinese restaurant and was completely closed for 7 years.
On the 17th September 2017, St Werburgh’s reopened its doors with an evening service, which was the first to be held there for many decades.
In March 2018 we started our morning service with kids work.
In September 2018 we celebrated our first birthday and as the months progress the building is being continually transformed into an incredible space, merging the old with the new, for worship, building relationships, music events, community groups and much much more.
