Thursday 28th March | Growing

Growing 1 Pet 2:1-3

So abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life, especially now that you have had a taste of the goodness of the Lord and have experienced his kindness.

The challenge here is that we would always be moving towards growth.

Where we have got to is great, as we look around the church for example, where God has brought us to in 18 months is amazing, but we have only just started, there is so much more. As is often said - the best is yet to come!

Individually and corporately we are called to grow - so this means numerically but more importantly it also means growth in the depth of our faith and relationship with God. What is God saying to you at the moment? Where is he challenging you to grow? What do you need to lay down, stop doing or change? What do you need to pick up, start doing or improve on?

We have had a taste of God’s goodness and kindness, I pray that it may spur us on to greater depth, greater freedom and greater growth.
