Gathers Psalm 84: 1-5
How lovely is your dwelling-place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
As a church our fifth value is that we value gathering together. We value the opportunity to meet together each week - either on a Sunday as the church gathered, or in smaller groups throughout the week, building community and going deeper, or in smaller friendship settings where relationships can be forged and formed.
All of these aspects are vital to our church - these are the ways in which authentic community will continue to be built.
But over and above that we long that there is a passion and excitement for gathering in God’s house each week to worship him, that we would long to be there, as we know that it is in this place and in the consistent and regular gathering together to meet with God that we are changed, challenged and deepen our faith. When we dwell in God’s presence, we will be ever praising God.
