Wednesday 20th March

There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha (which in Greek is Dorcas). She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor. Acts 9:36

“Sometimes we get the impression that if we go across the ocean, it’s more noble than going across the street. And I think all of Heaven is leaning over the rails hoping we’ll go across the room or across the street to someone who hasn’t been that easy to love, and that we’ll express love without agenda because we want to grow in the faith.” Bob Goff.

I equally love and loathe this quote. It is so true and yet sometimes so difficult. Sometimes loving the people nearest to us is the hardest thing to do and yet Jesus tells us the story of the Good Samaritan and expects us to go and do the same.

Today, how can you show kindness to someone who is near by, how is God challenging you to move out of your comfort zone maybe across the room or across the street to love without agenda and care for someone who needs it.
